Musical Discovery: ‘Listen to the Man’ by George Ezra

It appears as though George Ezra’s debut album is a big hit, with Budapest and Blame it on Me being successive chart successes for the singer. Now, the musician has collaborated with Sir Ian McKellen in his latest video for his new single, Listen to the Man.

The video itself is another take on the comical “one man stealing another man’s spotlight”. But this time, it is more comical and genuine rather than deliberately trying to be funny.

But for the song, it follows the upbeat style of Ezra present in his previous works. This time, an offbeat, continuous guitar riff is present throughout the song, adding to the feel-good feel of the track. Ezra’s vocals also give the song a unique feel whilst showcasing his own style that appears throughout his past songs.
