12 Days of Blogmas! Day 10: The Small Instruments that Matter

With my involvement in many bands and orchestras, as well as being tasked with playing drum parts, I am often occasionally given other percussion instruments to play.

These instruments are often overlooked. For example, tambourines have since been laughed at for the comic ridiculous that follows, but when playing certain songs, the noise created can be an additional layer that helps to make a good final picture. Bongos is more particular.

But at the current moment in time, with Christmas concerts more common, it is likely that I will be tasked with playing an instrument with a festive chime. It all helps with the Christmas mood!


P.S. It’s one word, but the plural!
