Music Monday – My Favourite Songs

Hello, so, I thought that this week I would mention my five favourite songs. Also, because of this, Music Monday is now coming to an end… Since I feel as though I could use Monday for other posts, and there’s no engagement on these posts. But anyway, my favourite five…

1. Example: A bit of a cheat in the “best song” as I am a huge fan, but song wise, Kickstarts, Say Nothing and Watch the Sun Come Up are some of my favourites.

2. Party Rock Anthem – LMFAO: Not only can I dance to this, but this is a great song and has to be a dance song that shall be remembered for a long time.

3. Poppiholla – Chicane: I only found out that I had this song ages ago, and I love the fact it has no lyrics, just really nice music.

4. Finale – Madeon: As soon as I heard this song, I knew that this was going to be one of my favourite songs. It’s the melody in the chorus that makes this song truly awesome.

Okay, so who do you think created the best lyrics to a song ever??? This subject came up one day as my husband and I were driving through a stretch of boring desert and we heard Billy Joel’s, “Piano Man”. We decided it had to be that song as well as Harry Chapin’s “Cat’s in the Cradle” and Jim Croce’s “Time in a Bottle” and “The Dance” by Garth Brooks. So what do you think are some of the best written songs of all time?

Woah… Tough question… Erm, every Adele song – they’re all meaningful. Then… I’m not quite sure. “Watch the Sun Come Up” springs to mind mostly… Other pop songs do it for the tune, not the lyrics….

Sorry to butt in, but I couldn’t resist. I would say something like “Landslide” by Stevie Nicks or “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper. “Piano Man” is a good choice, too. Maybe “Iris” by the Goo-Goo Dolls. One could go on forever with all these great songs… haha

Nice post! I can’t say I can second your favourite songs, but it is an interesting list. Awesome that you can dance to LMFAO. Not only CAN I, but I DO as well. ;) Maybe you could do Music Monday once a month…I always enjoyed them and you introduced me to some new music every once in a while.

      Thanks! :)

Haha! Hmm… That is a thought, but what made me want to give up on Music Monday was that it didn’t gain any interaction (eg. Comments). But I shall have a think… Thanks for showing an interest…
